How to improve IQ of a child?(2007,April). The med guru: your health first. Retrieved on April 8 , 2011 From: http://www.themedguru.com/story/how-improve-iq-child.html
Summary:
According to this article, intelligence is expressed early and it contains what we should know or learn how to teach our children. The first question is how the brain works? And what does the brain consist of? There are ten lessons that explain everything. Parents should watch what families eat to be aware about your health. Make the brain bloom to focus easily. Nurture the intelligence because it has com with the baby and try to help him or her with that. Get the whole picture to about what is clear or not clear and how you make your child fun-filled. Never raise artificial obstacles or try letting him or her choose ever what he or she wants to do with fun activities. Never restrain thinking in the name of discipline to teach them how to understand or how to learn. Use age -appropriate play methods; that means think about his age before you play with them to know how to deal with them, because it depends on the age of the child. Visual stimulus the right companion teaches the child how to know about the colors even if he is not able to talk fluently. Do not think math is equal to intelligence because there is a big difference between them. Move from concrete to the abstract that show which examples you should use with the child.
Reaction:
These ways to improve our children are very useful because they show how to be successful fathers or mothers. When I read this article it made me feel good to know how I could improve my children in the future, because when I am a father I like to teach my children in these ways. I really like these ways or studies because they help. It shows me the difference between the ages of the children, which is very important to teach them in the right way. It is not easy to raise your children in what you want, because they need some strategy to teach them. In short, I think I might to teach my children in these ways that I read in this article.

Reaction
Will, I enjoyed this article because it combines educational toys and my major business. The big demand in the gulf for educational toys I think will be like a fashion that will end in maximum 5 years, because I now the way people think. Also the writer said that the changes in the consumer thinking about play and learning the key of the growth in educational toys market, but I think the way that most Middle Eastern thinks that will never last long the will go back to the traditional ways of raising a kids. I agree with what Mr. Ehab Debdeb said that it helps to improve the IQ for the kids ,but the huge increases that he said is wrong, because 50 point is not an easy thing to improve .all the thing and the skills that educational toys helps to improve the kids I agree with it , however the companies that try to produces new product it will makes the toys very good and more educationally for kids. So the toys in the Middle East won’t be more that a fashion and the market will slowly come down and be unsuccessful.

Krcmar, Marina Assessing the research on media, cognitive development and infants: Can infants really learn from Baby Einstein? Wake Forest University
Summary:
This article talks about if babies really have positive influence from the television products. At the beginning author tells to us that the recent generations spend more time on the screen than before; babies under 6 months cannot focus on television very well, the more babies grow up, the more ability to concentrate. When babies older than 24 months, they can really attracted by television, but many studies suggest that they prefer live activities to those on the screen. Babies usually like to capture the actions from screen, not in the real life. But the issue is the consequence like this not means babies improve the intelligence from the television, they only leaned basic skills from it. It might be lets babies learn faster, but fewer impacts on babies’ future.
Reaction:
Today, more and more advanced in science and technology coming out to the public, people are engaged different things rather than before. In my parents’ generation, they were playing in the field, clamping trees, and catching bugs. To the age of ours, we had video games, television, and electronic toys. Our childhood is definitely more intelligent than my parents’. But in my parents’ opinion, we were lost a lot of fun. I think it is true. We have Internet, video games, and fast food, and that is why nowadays we have a lot of obese children that they are not supposed to be over fat at their ages. The babies are born around 2000 have Baby Einstein, and people thought it could increase babies’ intelligence. But I am really worried about their eyes, because the infants’ eyes are not growing up very much, to expose to the screen is really harmful to babies’ eyes.

This article talks about the way to develops babies’ language ability. The specialist says that the best occasion babies to learn language is when they are infants, and the best way is to interaction with them. The most important point is to communicate with baby. Strong language skills can helps babies’ success in their academy. Also, parents need to be positive, look out what the babies are interested in, and find things that can attract babies.
Reaction:
The news about Walt Disney Company refunded the Baby Einstein videos, and acknowledged that these product were not intended to be educational or promote better brain development among young children, which is shocked me. This short preface tells me how much responsibility should a big company have! Many years ago people used to think the videos could help baby promote their intelligence, but now people realized it cannot. It is make sense to me. If just let a baby sits in front of a TV, and let him watches videos all the time, it is not good for his personality; he will become autistic, and loss the ability to connect with other people and living in his own world. This is an information age, we need to communicate with each other; like this article tells to us, and it is really helpful to training a person to positive and easy to communicate.

Summary:
In this article which was written by a woman who claims that educational toys not educational, research showed that babies between ages 1-2 do not learn any language skills at all, but TV shows and videos can teach. Also before her 11- month daughter was born she made a study about Baby Einstein and she mentioned a story about these DVDs; in the story there were many developmental psychologists who had a negative point of view of Baby Einstein; they said " it does not give them feedback when they respond" but reading is much better than putting them in front of a DVD even if it was for learning. There was a report and it shows that TV is harmless, because most kids under 2 watch TV every day for hours. But kids who spend much time on TV are most likely to read less; also, she said that kids who spend that time watching TV are the ones who we should be concerned about because kids like that spend only 45 minutes of reading. Finally, the woman said that she did not buy any DVDs; she does not let her daughter watch TV, yet the girl learned a few words from her dad and mom. The author also said that when her daughter grows up she will be so smart.
Reaction:
This article is really one of a kind; I have never read such an amazing, interesting, and great article like this before. People should read articles like this because they will learn a lot and learn how DVDs are bad for babies. Actually the way she treated her daughter is awesome, because I realized that she is a brave mother. But while I was reading this article I realized that the fact TV makes children read less is true. For example, when I was a child and until now TV is something important to me, because of all the fun I had while watching it. But TV made me read less; it actually made me a person who does not read anything unless I have to. Seriously it is really sad for me because I like to read.

Easy ways to improve your baby’s intelligence

Beingessner, M. (2007, June 13). Easy ways to improve your baby’s intelligence. selfgrowth.com Retrieved April 11, 2011, from http://www.selfgrowth.com
2. Summary
This article shows the best ways to improve baby’s intelligence. The author divided from the time birth to 5 years old into two stages and described the feature of each stage. The more time parents spend with their babies, the more synapses are strengthened. So baby’s intelligence gets better and better. The author suggests some easy things to stimulate baby’s brain as follows; delay returning to work for as long as possible, carry your baby around with you, breastfeed your baby as long as possible, touch your baby whenever possible, respond to your baby’s needs in a timely manner, read and sing to your baby.
3. Reaction
It was interesting to explain brain development process using synapses scientifically. I was impressed that the amount of interaction between mom and baby strengthens synapses. In addition to that, I was surprised that a child’s brain starts to cut down synapses unless given proper interactions and stimulations. Considering these facts, it seems to matter that parents have a great opportunity to stimulate their babies brain at the early ages.
On the other hand, I was so sorry that the ways the author suggests were too general and common. And the ways seem to frustrate working moms. If a baby has a working mom, he becomes less smart! I wonder how much time parents spend and what they do with their babies irrespective of working mom or stay at home mom. Later, I want to read more academic and specific articles.

Summarizing:
According to the writer, educational toys may help to boost the children IQ up to fifty points. In the Middle East, there is a real increase in children's numbers every year which demands expanding and good quality of the toys products to be suitable for the target children. In UAE there are many kindergartens that seek some effective toys to boost and estimate the young children's brains to produce some verbal and communication abilities in an appropriate way. In the past the parents over there were likely careless about the quality of their baby's toys; however, nowadays they have become educated and intellectual thinkers. Recently, the parents in that society, are not careless anymore; they start focusing and scoping on the educational toys; these educational toys may help estimating the hidden abilities of the baby's brain, and encourage him to forge and navigate the normal problems.
Reaction:
It is helpful to be aware of the quality of the baby's toys, but it is hard to believe that you can boost his IQ up to fifty points; however, in my opinion it is more important to know whether these toys help the baby acquire, and boost the abilities eventually or not. I think that in this era, focusing on the educational toys is an inevitable issue, because most scientists have claimed that these toys have a massive influence on the baby, such as helping him get a good retention skill ideally. Especially in Middle East countries, where the number of babies is expanding, the parents should consider these educational toys as a good way to help their children gain knowledge while playing. This way may help the babies to get the acquired abilities before their peers, which may help them to master some skills early and effectively. Although the number of babies, and the number of the kindergartens are expanding, I am still wondering, does BOOSTING your babies IQ issue deserve to be considered as important as in their lives? I think it is good to get an idea about this issue but not give it more attention ,so with my children I will buy them educational toys and let it be up to them, their choice, whether they want to use them or not . I suggest that they play with whatever they wish, because this is what they want.In sum I guess these educational toys may boost you babies IQ, but not that much.
